Liberty Theater Show, February 24, 2001

liberty.jpg (22357 bytes) The Liberty Theater show the Saturday before Mardi Gras is always special. In 2001, Mardi Gras really came to life that night courtesy of the Jambalaya Cajun Band: Terry Huval on fiddle and Reggie Matte on accordion, both in costume, with Ken David on bass, Bobby Dumatrait on guitar, and Tony Huval on drums. Dr. Barry Ancelet, college professor, was transformed by his costume into a Mardi Gras who used his nose/beak to nuzzle Park Service ranger David Domengeaux, who danced with absolute abandon, and who collaborated with other Mardi Gras stealing people's shoes.
